Having a solid skincare routine is something that we recommend you invest both your time and money into because it will benefit you tenfold down the road so you are not having to commit to expensive procedures or correctional products to achieve your desired look.
Luckily, we’ve got some top tips on how you can get yourself into a good groove by showing your skin the TLC we know it deserves!
1. Keep it Simple
Ideally, visit your dermatologist to get a regimen of evidence-based topicals from a reputable cosmetic company. You want to build a strong foundation before branching out into a ton of lotions and potions. Getting into the habit of a skincare routine doesn’t have to be complicated, start with the basics of cleansing, toning, and moisturizing. Once you get into the rhythm then you can begin to add in additional things.
2. Make Skincare a Couples Activity
Keep it simple for a nightly “date” skincare routine! It’s a great relationship builder and keeps your significant other looking fresh! Maybe throw on a mask while watching a movie, rinse, then bedtime! Whatever works for your schedule works just fine. It’s worth keeping that glow and helps to hold each other accountable.
3. Keep Your Products Together & Organized
You don’t have to think too much or search for anything, can make it aesthetically pleasing, keep one bin or organizer for AM/PM routine and then a second for masks, exfoliators that are used 2-3x a week. Arrange your products so you could apply them from memory in the dark.
4. Make it Feel Like a Spa
Feeling relaxed and at ease doesn’t always have to take place at a spa. Incorporate a product that you look forward to using, whether it’s at night, in the morning, or once or twice a week. A product that feels heavenly, smells spa-like, or maybe gives you that extra glow (while not irritating your skin). It’ll make that time a little extra special!
If you’re still feeling stuck when it comes to implementing your skincare routine or you aren’t sure which products work best for your skin, it may be a good time to bring in the pros! Book an appointment with Dr. Paviol or Chloe Savvides, LME by calling our office today at (704) 358-9900.
