WHAT IS HAIR RESTORATION?

PRP treatment for hair restoration is a research-proven method to increase growth and thickness of your hair. PRP is the portion of your blood that contains growth factors which stimulate hair growth. After a simple blood draw, your sample is placed in a centrifuge and spun, and the PRP (or liquid gold as we call it) is then injected into your scalp to promote hair growth.

If you're struggling with hair loss, the answer is likely yes!  But, we need to evaluate you at a medical appointment to make sure your type of hair loss responds to PRP.  In addition, at your medical visit, we will make sure we put all the odds in your favor for best results as we often combine PRP with Nutrafol supplements, topical or oral minoxidil (Rogaine), topical or oral finasteride (Propecia), and make sure you don't have any nutritional deficiencies contributing to your hair thinning.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING HAIR RESTORATION?

While receiving hair restoration PRP treatment at Paviol Dermatology, you will rest comfortably in a reclining chair. An ice cap will be placed on your head to help numb your scalp for the procedure. We will do a simple blood draw and place it in a centrifuge to separate the PRP. Then the PRP will be placed in your scalp with a series of very small injections in a matter of minutes! Afterwards, you will likely feel some scalp tightness for the remainder of the day and may have some light swelling the next day

We typically recommend a series of four treatments spaced one month apart and supplementation with Nutrafol during your treatment course. Results are seen after 3 months. After your treatments, most patients will do maintenence treatments every 6-12 months to keep their hair looking good!
